Jordan’s city of Petra served as the capital city of the Nabataean Kingdom until 106 AD when it was annexed by Rome. The Nabataeans were nomadic Arabs who invested in Petra's proximity to the trade routes by establishing it as a major regional trading hub, which is what helped them gain so much wealth.

Rome’s Colosseum was built between 72 A.D and 80 A.D under the Emperor Vespasian, and is an enormous amphitheater made from stone and concrete that was used for violent public spectacles, right in the heart of Ancient Rome. This impressive building had 80 entrances and could seat roughly 50,000 spectators at sporting events and games. It is the largest amphitheater in the world!

This Inca site is perched atop a ridge between the Huayna Picchu and Machu Picchu mountains in Peru. It was discovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham III, who was searching for Vilcabamba. Many archaeologists believe it was a royal estate that the emperor and his family would retreat to.

Christ the Redeemer is a colossal statue of Jesus Christ which is located at the summit of Mount Corcovado, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It took 5 years to build, and was completed in 1931. The statue stands 30 metres tall without including the 8-meter pedestal, and has arms which span 28 metres wide. It is a beautiful statue made of soapstone and is the largest Art Deco-style sculpture in the world.
